So I was content with PS4 version not to mention PC was still alpha 14.7 so I didn't think much about it. So naturally I played it for few months on console knowing that my laptop probably couldn't run it very well if at all. Being a "mostly" console gamer I never knew it existed b4 then. I too started on PS4 when the game launched on consoles was when I first was exposed to it.
That's something I thought I would never say. I prefer to play with the mouse and keyboard over the controller.
The controller now feels clunky and slow. whatever you need to do to make the transition from controller to mouse and keyboard easier, do it.Īfter about 500+ hours of playing with the mouse and keyboard, I went back to play console. asdw are used for movements, I moved them one over to sdfe, the "tab" is now Q. Also I should note, that you should adjust the keys to your liking. My advise, Try to learned to play with the mouse and keyboard, the first 10-15 hours are going to be frustrating, but I promise is going to get a lot better. I was able to have fun and play the game. But after that, I started paying more attention to the game and less attention to what keys to press. The first 7-15 hours did not feel like I was playing a game, it was very frustrating and I felt I was never going to learn it. It took me about 70-80 hours to become a semi decent mouse and keyboard player. By this time I was ready to take on the challenge. I played this world for about 60 hours, before I created another world with higher difficulty. By this time I already knew the keys, it would just be a matter of time for them to become second nature to me. After the two weeks, I created another world where I started playing like I usually play 7dtd but with lower difficulty. It was a struggle and it was frustrating, but as each day when by, it became less and less frustrating. But I was determined to learned to play with the mouse and keyboard, so I created a world and for two weeks I made myself play it for 30 minutes a day. When I first got my pc and started playing 7dtd, I was very tempted to play it with the controller, cause I had never played a pc game with the mouse and keyboard. I recently went from console to PC and here is my experience.
